Only a few days ago I was entirely lost and without hope the rug was pulled out from under me
by elderess inonly a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.
then i got the courage to seek the comfort of complete strangers on the internet and found a world of support here on this website.
thank you simon and whoever else has made this website possible.

How to spot faders or "closeted" apostates in a congregation / meeting?
by nevaagain inso i am awoken for several years now (never really bought the cool aid) but for family reasons i am still enduring everything.
but my wife knows ... .
anyway so yesterday we had this boring meeting and as i was sitting there trying to make time pass faster i looked around me and i thought who else feels the same as me and is completely bored?

What so funny, you are fading but you are probably one of the few in the KH that understand the BS.
Your knowledge of the Bible is for greater than most there, so you may listen and in your mind
you are thinking, what the hell did he say. You become stronger and sick to the stomach.
The speaker say some stupid and you look around the Hall at the friends and you hear birds tweeting,
they know not what was said.
Each meeting you are becoming stronger as a Apostate, the words spoken at the meetings are defiantly
not falling on deaf ears.
Hell I may attend a meeting so I can have a good laugh, it's been over 28 years.

Not regular at meeting attendance (your record is better and you have doubts).
You never see them in service.
Rarely comment.
Rolling their eyes during prayer.
Take off like a bat out of hell after the meetings, (not interested in talking to anyone).
Finally, they become ill on meeting nights but when you see them any other time they are
as happy as a slave with his freedom.

Thanks Nathan I will definitely do some investigation. That is something the borg didn't encourage us
to find your roots.... "And yes It's true it's not exclusively a black experience", the OT.
Also thanks for posting from wikipedia..

I wonder, how can one justify in their mind to own another person. It doesn't matter, black, white,
red or brown your property is another human being.
I can't except the idea, you know the Henderson down the street own slaves, I want one.
I know slavery has been around a long, long time but why did it take so long for people to figure it
out, it's wrong.

LoveUniHate: That's what I was thinking about "how did guy treat his slaves? Did he show them some
compassion". I know about the slave trade in Africa" Africans selling other blacks, and Native Americans
but it's weird that a ex slave purchasing slaves. You would think, Ok come work for me and I will pay you
after you work off your purchase price.
I never heard of A. Johnson but I will look him up.

I ask my kids and not one was aware of this. My wife never heard of it and my golf friends I ask them
did they know, they thought it was BS. He supported the south and gave money to help in the cause.
I missed out on a lot of that, I was schooled in JW higher learning.

Any guitar players here. New song #149
by hoser insong 149 says capo fret 3 but it doesn't match the rest of the music.
-

How does the song sound without the capo? My group 32 strong all guitars have tried
using the capo on certain songs because the pitch may be to high, but in most cases it doesn't sound
the same. Example; "Time in A bottle" sounds great to me without the capo on fret 2, but our conductor
likes the capo, he's the conductor.
